Big City Mountaineers (BCM) is a non-profit organization that runs wilderness programs for urban youth across the United States. The mission of Big City Mountaineers is to instill critical life skills in under-served urban youth through transformative wilderness mentoring expeditions.
PARTNERSHIP WITH WILDERNESS WIND
Since 2009, Wilderness Wind has partnered with BCM by providing them with base-camp functions for their trips which include lodging, a post-trip Celebration Meal, and gear storage facilities. BCM youth and staff offer a refreshing diversity and perspective to Wilderness Wind. In turn, as we serve as hosts. Wilderness Wind staff and campers have the opportunity to share with BCM the environmental and cooperative aspects of our mission.
